Fascism is on the rise!
Whether it’s America or Europe or India, we are seeing a rise in more and more divisive political campaigns and policies being introduced into our democracies by legislators and politicians who love to divide and conquer, who love to play the chosen prophet while in fact being oligarchs’ minions or, worse, puppets of oligarchy. But be wary; they’re wolves 🐺 in sheep’s clothing 🐑.
Five Signs You’re Living In A Fascist state
These are the 5 most important rules from the fascist handbook! If you see any one or more of these, it should sound an alarm. 🚨🚨🚨
THE FASCIST PLAYBOOK
Step #1:
Create an enemy that your followers can hate and blame for their woes and problems. If you can create more than one, so much the better. And blame your enemies for what you’re doing.
Step #2:
Discredit all media and reinforce the idea that yours is the only true word that can be trusted. Gaslight everyone by blatant denial of truth.
Step #3:
Establish your administration of loyalists bound only to you and your word only. Establish them in courts, the parliament or congress, and the military. And also in any oversight positions.
Step #4:
Create an extrajudicial group (like the Gestapo, Brown Shirts, or the Proud Boys) whom you can call upon for acts of pressure and intimidation as well as other activities you cannot order regular groups to perform, like the police or the military.
Step #5:
Establish a system whereby third parties can funnel money to you, the leader, in some way (like buying your crypto), to legally bribe the leader (you) for preferential treatment. Use your loyalists (see #3) to obstruct others from getting the government to do what they want unless a “tribute” has been paid to the leader.
SO, HOW IS TRUMP DOING?
What is liberalism?
If you live in a democracy anywhere in the world, the far right has people convinced against liberal values and made it deceptively easy to say things like ‘I am not a liberal’ or ‘Those f*cking liberals are the problem’ or ‘Those immigrants are the problem,’ whereas every scientific and economic source says otherwise.
Before we go into that, let’s understand what liberalism even means. So, what does it really mean to be a liberal? Even if you don’t identify as a “liberal”, it’s important to understand what you’re actually voting for or against.
The problem is not immigrants and other minorities; it’s oligarchs, who are the aristocrats of our day and age. Oligarchy is a form of government in which power rests with a small number of people.
It’s people like Musk, Bezos and Peter Thiel who want to control the government so they can keep getting massive tax cuts and continue buying islands and flying in private jets (or even rockets) while the people who work for them have to live in their cars and their food and healthcare are subsidised by the taxpayer’s dollars.
And you know what’s funny? These people living in their cars pay more taxes than the oligarchs, who don’t even want to pay them liveable wages. Even the immigrants pay more taxes than oligarchs while being legally ineligible for any benefits whatsoever.
And it’s time to defend the people’s voice.
But in order to defend the people’s voice and our liberal values, we must have a constant reminder of what those values truly are.
Introducing People’s Emblem of Liberal Values

Designed by Krupal Vithlani, “People’s Emblem of Liberal Values” isn’t just another pretty seal; it contains in itself some very important qualities that are and have been associated with liberalism worldwide.
While there are layers of meaning, here’s a basic breakdown:

Lady Liberty Enlightening the World: A gift from France to the United States, stands as a universal symbol of freedom, hope, and democracy, representing both the American ideals and the spirit of welcome for immigrants seeking a new life. Also serves a reminder of women’s rights to their bodies sovereignty.

Originally the (CND) nuclear disarmament sign has become a universally accepted symbol for peace. This iconic symbol represents a call for global peace, non-violence, and the cessation of hostilities, advocating for a world free from war. The roses blooming out of the brick-like structure serve as a reminder of environmental protection, particularly the “Paris environment summit”. Also a reminder of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the ‘Iron Curtain’ – the ideological split between East and West.

The phrase “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity) emerged during the French Revolution (1789) as a rallying cry for a society based on these ideals. These words embody the revolutionary ideals of freedom, equal rights, and unity among citizens, forming the foundation of democratic principles. They represent a historical call for social transformation and justice.

Anti-discrimination: The picture artistically shows people of different skin colours and cultural backgrounds. Represents active opposition to systemic prejudice based on race, creed, colour, religion, etc., advocating for equality and dismantling discriminatory structures.

A person in a wheelchair symbolises accessibility – the right of all individuals, regardless of ability, to participate fully in society and have equal access to resources.
It ensures that all individuals, regardless of ability, can fully participate in society, removing barriers to equal opportunity. This concept advocates for inclusive design and equitable access to resources.

The Beam Balance symbolises fairness and impartiality within legal systems and societal structures, upholding moral principles. Justice represents the pursuit of equitable outcomes for all individuals.

This symbol represents the love, acceptance, and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, advocating for equal rights and inclusion. It embodies the struggle for recognition and respect.

Reminder of the painting of the dove with an olive branch at the United Nations, a universally recognised symbol of peace. It signifies peace, reconciliation, and the hope for an end to conflict, representing a universal desire for harmony. The golden olive branch specifically evokes a vision of a “golden age” achieved through reconciliation, forgiveness, and mutual amends. Also a reminder of 1948 UN Human Rights Charter
